Demi-Sec is a type of non-vintage Champagne - i.e. the wine is made from several vintages, in this case three different ones. All three grape varieties used in Champagne are represented in the wine: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from some of the best vineyards in the area. To achieve a higher degree of sweetness, the amount of dosage (sugar liqueur) in the wine is increased.
The champagne is vinified at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks before being blended, bottled and aged for approximately three years.
Light golden wine with fine, persistent bubbles. Lively scent of white flowers, which merges into butter-baked brioche, pineapple and coconut. The taste reveals both sweetness and freshness from candied red berries, ripe apples and honey. The champagne is not overly sweet and is therefore best suited to lighter desserts with fresh fruit.
