The weather
The 2016 grape harvest in Champagne reflects the region's traditional unpredictability. The winter was wet and cool, causing some mildew and grape loss, followed by a rainy spring and summer that dried the vineyards and led to water stress and further fruit loss. Despite these challenges, the remaining grapes ripened well, especially the Meuniers and Pinots Noirs.

Storage in the second fermentation: 6 years
Aged in bottle after disgorging: at least 6 months
Dosage: 5g/litre (extra brut)
Tasting notes
Slightly golden yellow with vivid green reflections.
The first aromas are brown and dry: toasted bread, kernels and hazelnut. The secondary aromas are softer: gingerbread, marzipan, barley sugar. Finally, the most persistent background notes are fruity and floral: plum, mirabelle, quince, orange blossom and anise.
A calm, round palate.
The flavor envelops you effortlessly, like a gentle wave rolling over smooth sand before gently receding. The initial round, supple taste transitions effortlessly into a structured core-like sensation, culminating in a finish reminiscent of the sweet, tangy freshness of a clementine or pomelo.

In our shop at Gothersgade 135 kld. 1123 København K, we have the machines ready and it often takes no longer than 10 minutes to personalize a bottle. You don't have to book an appointment, you just have to come during our opening hours .
