In 1818, Madame Clicquot defied conventional practice by blending her red wine from her beloved 'Clos Colin' parcel with her white wine. At first criticized, she is now recognized as the inventor of the first known blended rosé champagne.
Veuve Clicquot's latest Vintage cuvée Rosé harmoniously combines the sun-filled 2015 vintage with the precision, depth and character of Pinot Noir red wine from Parcelle Clos Colin.
A beautiful rosé with a gentle mousse . The nose is a mixture of green apples and red fruit. In addition, there are floral notes in the form of a touch of jasmine and honeysuckle. In the mouth , there are notes of citrus , honey and nutmeg .

Weather: 2015 is remembered for its classic growth cycle. The particularly mild winter gave way to a varied spring with a period of freezing temperatures followed by intense heat. The vines reached full bloom at the usual times in a sunny and dry month of June. It was a glorious summer with plenty of sunshine and little rain. The ripening of the Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays was boosted in late August by some long-awaited rainfall. The grapes were harvested in mid-September under cool autumn skies, giving rise to elegant, fresh and fruity wines worthy of being described as true "classics".
