This white wine has appealing aromas of wheat, flowers, tangerine and ripe lemon. It has a hint of smoke balanced with cashews and grapefruit. The wine transitions into lively flavors of slate, green plums, lemon tart and nougat. It is made from Chardonnay.
Founded in 1985, Cloudy Bay was one of the first five winemakers to venture into Marlborough. At the time, it was almost an unthinkable place to plant a vineyard.
Cloudy Bay is spread over two wine regions, full of climatic and geological diversities. Marlborough, this is where it all started in New Zealand. Central Otago, the world's southernmost wine region, where selection is paramount.
