Ardbeg Corryvreckan is named after the eddy current north of Islay. Only the bravest souls have dared to sail in the area – and Ardbeg Corryvreckan is also a whiskey that calls for brave Islay drinkers. Originally, Corryvreckan was a special edition – Corryvreckan Committee Reserve, which sold out in just a few hours. This edition is part of Ardbeg's permanent range. Aged in bourbon and French oak barrels and bottled at 57.1%. Not chill-filtered or added colour. A large Ardbeg with taste notes that suggest dark chocolate, coffee, peat and salt.
Colour: Golden.
Aroma: Aromas of candied fruit, orange, peat, smoke, chocolate, coffee, slightly salty and spicy touch.
Tasting notes: Spicy and creamy with notes of chocolate, salt, coffee, smoked meat, nicely integrated smoke/peat.
Serving suggestion: Should be enjoyed neat, preferably with a few drops of water.
