Tequila Fortaleza
Tequila from Fortaleza is made by a man who comes from a family with a long history deeply rooted in tequila production in Mexico and its distribution to the rest of the world. Guillermo Erickson Sauza is the man behind Fortaleza.
Guillermo's great-great grandfather created Sauza Tequila over 100 years ago, but the brand was sold years ago. The long history, however, gives Guillermo a unique knowledge and experience that has created one of the world's best tequilas recognized worldwide.
The production
This is one of the world's best blanco tequilas, which is made according to the classic traditional methods, where the agave fruits are baked in a stone oven and then crushed in the traditional tahoa. The bottle is handmade and mouth blown. The fermentation process takes place in open wooden barrels. This blanco is not aged, but is so well-balanced and round in taste that it is ideal to enjoy neat. It contains flavor notes of pepper, soft creamy vanilla nuances and light floral agave notes.
Tastes like:
Aromas of citrus and rich cooked agave fill your nose in this unique and very special blanco tequila. Also present: butter, olives, earth, black pepper and a deep inviting vegetal complexity.
Flavors include citrus, cooked agave, vanilla, basil, olive and lime. The finish is long and deep, complex yet easy to drink.
