The vintage was characterized by almost ideal weather conditions throughout the growing season, with optimal sunshine and moderate temperatures throughout the summer. The harvest was characterized by optimal ripeness, intense freshness and flavor concentration. 1996 is unanimously recognized as one of the greatest vintages in Champagne. After nearly a quarter of a century of maturation, Blanc des Millénaires 1996 finally reveals its greatness.

The palate as expected is fresh, with great length and soft textured from the long lees time. A fascinating glimpse into Daniel Thibault's experimental vintage and this is well worth the wait.
