Glenmorange Original is a 10-year-old single malt whiskey from the Highland region of Scotland. Original is the perfect introduction to Glenmorangie's style, which is light and fresh and characterized by ripe fruit, sweetness and mild spices. It is aged in first- and second-fill casks of American white oak, which previously contained bourbon, and is bottled at 40% alcohol.
Colour: Golden.
Aroma: Beautiful mixture of fresh fruit and butter caramel.
Tasting notes: Silky smooth with mild spice notes, vanilla, tangerine and toffee. A bit of ginger at the end, in the aftertaste.
Serving suggestion: Should be enjoyed neat.
Glenmorangie is known for having Scotland's tallest stills. The tall cauldrons provide increased contact between the spirit and the copper, and this has a marked effect on the taste of the final whisky, which becomes lighter and more elegant.
