Fortaleza Reposado Winter Blend 2024 - Single Batch Tequila – 46.5%

This annual special release from Destilería Fortaleza (NOM 1493) is a rare allocation, created in limited quantities as a distinct expression of the house and the craftsmanship behind it. Each batch is unique and bottled at 46.5% alcohol (93 proof) which opens up new layers of complexity and flavor intensity.

Winter Blend begins, as always, with Fortaleza Still Strength Blanco at 92 proof, which is filled into French oak barrels that previously held cream sherry.

After 4 months, the barrels were emptied, the liquid was combined and poured back into the same barrels for another 4 months. The barrels were then emptied and combined again, after which the liquid was mixed with several barrels of Fortaleza Reposado – some aged for 3 months, others for 10 months. The final yield was 7,800 liters.

The result is a tequila with intensity, depth and elegance – and at the same time a clear reference to Fortaleza's DNA: craftsmanship, tradition and terroir.

Released once a year, this allocated bottling is limited in quantity. Each edition reflects not only the year and the uniqueness of the batch, but also the uncompromising craftsmanship that has made Fortaleza an icon among agave enthusiasts and fans.
