Anchorages Vintage is an absolutely fantastic champagne with a grainy yellow color. The color is darker than an average champagne. The taste is very aromatic, very fruity and fresh. The champagne has notes of apple, pear, smoke and marzipan with a slightly sweet touch. Those notes are followed by roasted coffee beans and almonds. At the same time, it is very fresh with a balanced maturity. The aftertaste is rich, crisp and with a good aroma, where the taste has really been turned up. It is finished by a touch of citrus.
The vintage or vintage champagnes are produced only from the best grapes from the vineyards and therefore give a unique and personal expression of the vintage. The several years of aging in the cellar make this a rare and sought-after champagne.
Anchorages Vintage is a full-bodied, brilliant and harmonious champagne with its own complex character. The year 2010 had a summer with a lot of heat and when the harvest started in mid-September, it continued under the summer's cloudless sky.
