Pure Chardonnay exclusively from parcels with Grand Cru status. 90% from east-facing plots on the Côte des Blancs (primarily Chouilly, Le Mesnil, Cramant and Avize) and 20% from the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims (primarily Puisieulx and then Ruinart's own plots at Sillery). Partial barrel fermentation and after blending of the optimal cuvée tirage with Champagne corks in the spring after the harvest. It is the first time in recent times that Ruinart uses Champagne corks during the at least 96-month maturation before disgorgement, and this should be the explanation for the fact that the notes of grilled almond and coffee are now extra refined. At the same time, the dosage has been slowly reduced to less than 5g in recent years. to accommodate the rippling freshness and minerality, which thus stand up against the roasted and lightly smoked notes.
