It is created through the art of blending, where no less than 120 different base wines from a minimum of 10 vintages are blended to achieve the greatest possible complexity and harmony.
No elements must overpower each other, and the taste must be rich and creamy but at the same time contain freshness and excitement.
This fine wine undergoes a carefully selected process, including fermentation in small custom-made casks and a subsequent aging of 5-6 years.
Each bottle of Grande Cuvée is labeled with a unique ID code, which gives access to information about that exact bottle on Krug's website.
This champagne has a seductively rich and exotic character with notes of honey, winter apples, candied fruit and gingerbread spice, as well as hazelnut, toast, and brown sugar. Perfect in combination with oysters and chestnut soup.
